The btc pulse

btc addresses local access, the "Last Mile" problem, from a radically different perspective, by fundamentally changing the way data is encoded between the central office, moved across the network, then decoded at the client location (modem) and vice versa.  The result is an integrated software and communication solution delivering very high throughput over existing communications networks, especially when applied over copper, as in the case of DSL.  Unlike other approaches to the speed and distance problem, btc's solution is not based on data compression.  It works with any compression methodology and integrates seamlessly with TCP/IP.  For DSL applications, btc technologies follow the DSL spectral regulations, avoiding costly conformance procedures and processes for the carrier.

btc solutions can be positioned quite easily as high-end, value-based services for IPTV, VoIP, and gaming, next to and/or on top of the existing DSL solutions being deployed.

Improvements:

  • Substantially increases the actual physical length of the connection.

  • Improves performance over ADSL of as much as 100% and more.

  • Allows for an application oriented optimization of the actual bit-rate and latency in the network.

  • Provides universal coverage of all networks with one and the same technology.

  • Increases the addressable market for network operators

  • Applies to multiple  communications mediums (wired and wireless, cable and DSL)
